Eyelash’ threads to decorate silk painting

What makes a Japanese silk painting so amazing and in great feel? It is the achievement of the threads. There are many interesting textured threads available and they can be used as a resist to create decorative effects. Among those, the ‘eyelash’ thread being most commonly used for this effect was laid across the wet silk and pinned to the frame in straight lines.
The higher quality the silk painting is, the greater texture of the threads is.
