Down to McCain, Huckabee, Paul, Clinton, Obama

I was pretty shocked when Romney bailed out just a little while ago.  I figured that the hatred for McCain by conservatives would drive Romney to continue, even if he started out slow for a time in gathering that support.  Between McCain and Huckabee and Paul, it is clear now that McCain is going to win out, as many of the conservatives that went with Romney were economic ones, those who went to Huckabee were social ones, leaving precious few to go with Paul who arguably is the one with the strongest credentials as a Limited government conservative.

The Clinton/Obama issue fascinates me to no end.  There are a million reasons to despise a Clinton candidacy whether you are conservative or liberal, but is it really possible that a gentlemen with only two years in the Senate and a couple of terms in the State house is in position to be the Democrat nominee?  People are touting Obama as a new Kennedy, but they should remember that JFK had an influential daddy pulling strings and making things happen for him.  This, Obama does not have.  Sheer inexperience will torpedo the Obama nomination- and I believe he will get it.

Get ready for McCain as the President.
