(PRLog.Org) – Oct 03, 2007 – The blogging market seemed to be tapped out but that didn’t stop the folks at Asylum Communications from thinking outside of their box. Their concept at the “You the People” blog is to move away from the blog model where a blog is managed by one or two persons or there is a blog farm where individuals hardly see the content on anyone else’s site. Anyone can post, within reason, and everyone’s post appears on the front page.
Asylum Communication’s site master, going by ‘Head Honcho’ says, “The project may succeed or it may fail. We don’t know. But we know that on the Internet one can not always predict what concept will spark a firestorm, so we’re going to try out the model and if it works, expand it.”
The “You the People” blog admits being inspired to think outside of the box by looking at recent projects like www.fivedollarblog.com which belongs to www.midwestmonitor.com. ‘Head Honcho’ continues, “With the presidential season coming up we were looking for new ways to give people a voice. We decided that a big problem with the current models out there is that people have a great deal of power to speak, but who listens? This puts all the content on one page so there can be real conversation.”
The website, where the “You the People” blog is primarily located at, http://www.asylumcommunications.com looks to offer a place where candidates like Mitt Romney, John McCain, Mike Huckabee, Fred Thompson, Rudy Giuliani, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama are examined by supporters and critics alike.
